The winner of this writing contest had a very humorous piece about a ghost detective. Although, he didn't really display any detective prowess. And the humor, while good, was a bit distracting. Judges liked it though, probably because it stood out being a lighter piece in a potentially sad theme of "lost love".
Here's my entry. My story is a take on someone caught in love with two others and having to make a choice. What's interesting to me is that some of the other pieces earning recognition ended up with "found" loves, whereas I ended with a lost love.
By the way - I haven't posted other entries from April yet because I am still waiting to hear on results.
