SwitchBack Contest - Video Games

This is a prompt based monthly contest with no entry fee.  Generally I find that the winning entries are more artistic in nature.  Blends between poetry and prose.

Kind of a downer of a prompt.  I immediate thought of a song called Video Games by Lana Del Rey

Below is my entry, I might have gone a little too abstract, but who knows?  

"Why I’d Much Rather Play Video Games than Go to Bed with You"

  Because I am crooked where I am supposed to be straight.

And wives should submit to their husbands.

Because I am almost to the point where my centaur is going to get the Blade of Oldirin and then I can free the mage’s apprentice from the Beast of Nimroth and that means I’ll get another treasure chest. Most importantly you don’t know what any of that means. You know what those things may be, but you don’t know what they mean.

The casserole you made tasted like newspaper advertisements.

Although, it’s nice to see your domestic side. It turns me on. A little.

If we turn off the lights I won’t have to see the tattoo with his name.
